What is the condition?
Vocal cord nodules are usually treated by voice therapy to correct the bad vocal technique. Occasionally, surgery may be required to remove them if the fail to resolve with voice therapy.

What can be done?
The surgery is called phono-microlaryngeal surgery. It is done under a general anaesthesia. The operation usually takes only 30 minutes and you will be home on the same day. You will be required to rest your voice for a few days only. Most singers will be able to return to singing within only a few weeks of removing the nodules. Complications from the surgery is rare
